Excellent concept, very simplistic in design, excellent game all over. The first few levels were simple enough, but once you started getting loads of enemies on screen, you really had to have nimble fingers to move just so you would get them, and not get caught yourself...a very nice challenge. This might have supplanted Tetris as my Zone-Out game :-D

"Even the cheat codes work!"

submission: Doom Triple Pack

The timing was a little bit awkward, but very much the game I remember (if you made any major changes, then my memory sucks, but oh well.) I'm glad to see the cheats that I tried worked, but with this game aiming to be a pretty direct port of the original, I somewhat expected it. Great work!

Random Defence 2

"Good, except for the big maps..."

submission: Random Defence 2
date: November 6, 2008

It's nicely complicated insofar as tower strategy and all, but having the big maps that require scrolling/zooming really detracted from it overall. It's hard to have a big map like that in a flash game where things are coming at you semi-constantly; a strategy game where you have to plan out and move things (vis a vis Starcraft/Warcraft and the like) works well with a large map, but TD just doesn't do it. If the app itself had a bigger window and the larger maps could fit within those constraints, this would be a 10/10 for me--quite frankly, I love a TD game that can kick my ass fairly quickly :P

IndestructoTank A.E.

"I've been waiting for this..."

date: April 2, 2008

...since I saw that this was coming, somewhere, can't remember exactly. The graphics and camera angling, were magnificent. The physics were a fair bit touchier than the original, and even the sequel (or maybe it was just the moving camera, I don't know), and it made it more challenging, which is a good thing--I won't come back to it expecting automatic victory and timewasting, at least not right away. This is everything this game should be, although more medals would be cool.

And props for keeping pretty much the same music. That music IS Indestructotank.

Armor Games Kondense

"Neat game..."

date: March 17, 2008

Liked the game and the concept, but some of the graphics for the levels made it a bit hard to find the neutral spot where the ball wouldn't slide/would slide slowly (I would think I was level, but i was really sliding toward the bottom of the board)...not sure if this was intentional or not, but it made it rather hard, especially the NG Tank level. It would have been a bit more interesting if you'd made the goal to clear off the board, rather than survive such and such an amount of time, would make the player get adventurous to keep the game going, or had a mode in the game that worked that way.

Played once so far, damn, that was an excellent game. It's alot easier once you've got fewer games going, and you have to be able to make quick adjustments. The random game switch can leave you bouncing between a few different games (the last two games, I didn't touch til I had like 5 or 6 games left), would be one of those things that might make a good tweak down the line, but that's about the only issue I had.

"Reminds me of JezzBall..."

date: February 13, 2008

Brilliant timewaster, you have to be good with reading the balls and timing your releases, pretty challenging, especially with a limited # of balls to create. Really reminds me of Jezzball, with the avoidance of obstacles with a object that has a (fairly) static movement based on a mouseclick...very nicely done. I'm gonna have to work on it (when I'm sober), try and actually get better at this one!

"Devious..."

date: February 7, 2008

But as below, there's really no challenge, just trial and error. I got a little bored with it just about the first checkpoint, but definitely, with a little more skill or choice involved, not just random death, could be a great time waster.

This game is finally migrating to my favourites :-) I figure if I put a couple hours into it, it's a damn good game.

My only issue with the game is the size...with a small window, it gets a little wacky if you don't pay any attention you end up off screen and coming back on in a different spot, which whips the ball somewhere you weren't aiming for. A bit larger screen, or an autopause if the mouse goes outside the window, would make this game a little less aggrivating in tough situations. Regardless, though, it's an excellent game, very polished :-)

"Kinda Cool..."

submission: Wild Evader

Excellently made game, the only gripe I had was that the little yellow pellets had a little larger radius that you could collect them in than the actual pellets (i.e., they could be a fair ways into a wall and you could nab them)...it made the game a little too easy. A few power-ups would have been nice, and a little less of a penalty for an imperfect round would be a little nice too (1k+ for perfect, then 440 for one hit, a bit steep).

Author's Response:

Thanks aeternitas for your feedback!
I just submited version 1.0.1 with less penalty for an imperfect round.
